I'm writing this from my very sunny garden...as I work in retail my day off usually falls on a Thursday and I'm lucky enough to have got a nice dose of sunshine today.
I have been back from the states for two weeks now, so this post is a little overdue but i have not found spare five minutes it feels!
So my case was 30kg :/...way over the 23kg allowance..and that doesn't even count the extra space i took up in my boyfriends case. The reason for this is i LOVE bath and body works, seriously, i even emailed them begging them to consider opening in the UK.
Here is my booty...i also grabbed 20..yes 20 wallflower oils only to find out the plugs don't work with a UK converter..grrrr...fast forward to finding the correct plugs on eBay for £15 each..yikes! I didn't photograph those as that's not nearly as exciting as the following...
Oh kimono...and YSL peach passion
29.4.14
Hi- So right about now I'm in holiday countdown mode as i go to Florida in 8 days time...woooo!! I literally cannot wait. However in the meantime i have been loving this Newlook kimono muchly. I'm store manager of Newlook so I'm lucky to get all of the best bits before they sell out..which happens an awful lot recently! I think this kimono looks so high end, i think its mainly to do with the pretty detailing on the edges..what do you think?
Que awkward pose time in order to show the arms :/...
Ive been teaming it with one of my new favourite, and somewhat a cult beauty lipsticks..YSL'S peach passion. I love, love this colour...however as the formula is so creamy i think it will only be a short space of time before I'm shelling out my next fortune on another..sigh!
Have you tried this lipstick...do you share my love for it?

Weekend roundup...
14.4.14
This weekend was spent in London for my best friends hen do. For me, London feels a little bit magical..i just love it. The weekend was full of giggles- so many that my hamster cheeks ached a little at times :/

The highlight of the day (apart from the magnificent blow up groom doll :/ ) was visiting the Sanderson for the mad hatters tea party. All the food was so whimsical and almost too cute to eat..almost.
We then had dinner at ruby blues and partied the night away at Strawberry Moons...cheesefest!
Happy hen do Gemma! x
What did you all get up to this weekend?

Festive roundup..moving into 2014
2.1.14
Hello and a very happy new year to you all!
So the new year is a time for us to reflect on the last...and i must admit from previous posts I've read along with countless facebook status' its seems to have been a bit of a pants years for many :(.
For once i can hand on heart say that 2013 had been very good to me...its the first year ive met a genuine man who has treated me the way, i feel i deserved to be treated. Trust me- after a long period of meeting nasty pasty's who treat you like dirt you begin to think nice men do not exist- and that can be a pretty lonely place (especially when all your chums have their Mr perfect)!
The end of 2013 also saw me bagging a new job....again something of which i thought would never happen. I was very unhappy in my previous job- it was 9-5:30 Mon-Fri...most peoples ideal, but i was just not creatively inspired at all and spent all day sitting on my bum..which leads to weight gain and ultimately feeling downright crappy!
With a lack of personal confidence and the media constantly harping on about how hard it is to find a job in this day and age i have to say that my hopes of finding a new job were bleak. I believe in fate however; and this i believe had a huge part to play in me getting my new job as store manager of a local New Look.
I have never worked in fashion before- but boy am i excited to have been given the chance. You know, even though it was a substantial pay rise for me- the money was the last thing i got excited about when i was offered the job- i think this speaks volumes.
So on Monday i head down to Great Yarmouth for three weeks training. Don't get me wrong I'm nervous, but extremely excited. What i am going to do with myself for three weeks on my todd- i do not know! so if any of my lovely followers are from around that are and fancy adopting me temporarily do get in touch ;) the thought of dining alone at night does not excite me terribly :/
So yes, something a little different from my usual posts but I'm in a reflective mood and i don't really "share" much of myself with my blog - something of which i would like to do more of in 2014!
My countdown now begins..looking forward to my new career and most importantly, Disney Florida in May- wooooo!!
Hope 2014 brings you lots of happiness and i will leave you with some of my favourite December pics...

MAC Studio sculpt Review...
31.12.13
Hi my lovelies..hope you are all geared up for this evenings festivities!
For years now I've been on the quest to banish my oily skin by plastering it with my trusty Estee Lauder double wear light. Lately, maybe its due to my skin feeling extremely dehydrated..I've fancied a more dewy, fresh look for my skin so set about finding a temporary replacement foundation...cue studio sculpt.
As many of you know- not many foundations can beat Estee Lauders coverage- so i was wary that this would not match when it came to covering imperfections. I must say that i am really impressed with the coverage and finish of studio sculpt. The application is really simple and the product is really blendable and can be built up easily.

Before: as you can see i have quite a few broken capillaries on my cheeks...
After: No concealer or editing...just the foundation so that you can see the level of coverage :)

All in all I'm in love with this product and i think you'll agree from the images it provides great coverage and leaves a lovely dewy finish. I am a happy bunny.
Have you tried this...thoughts?
Have a great NYE!

Rome...
20.7.13
Ive been extremely lazy in getting this post done- mainly due to its photo heavy nature. I highly recommend putting Rome on your bucket list- its a very expensive but beautiful place. I visited with my housemate and brother :) Hope you enjoy the snaps...

Blueberry and Lemon cupcakes...
27.6.13
Im obsessed with blueberries. I find an excuse to sneak them in to most things and when that "thing" is cake, i can almost fool myself into thinking they are reasonably healthy :/

I gave this recipe a whirl and apart from the frustration of converting cups to grams/mls it actually turned out pretty well. In fact the batch of 12 didnt make it past the end of the day.
