yay it arrived..im excited as it took like 3 and a half weeks!!!! Although im a little confussed...i went onto the macpro site and logged in and am i being silly but where do you actually purchase the make up??? there are no options to add to cart etc...help please i wanna spend xxxx

hmmm this is a venting post sorry but I'm frustrated grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

ok so this is why i was nervous of doing YouTube...stupid nasty comments!! now im probably being over sensitive but i have had nothing but nice comments and support from people on YouTube (big thanks) and today i log in and find a comment from a young girl telling me "you tan way too much" now come on i know i shouldn't take it to heart but heres why i do::::

*i wasn't wearing fake tan...that is my natural skin colouring...therefore isn't this a bit racist..after all she is commenting on my skin colour!

*the girl that said this is mixed race too so surely she should know how hurtful comments like that can be!1

I'm sorry but i guess it struck a chord with me as my dad was adopted for being mixed race as a child..harsh but true...i just wish people would engage their brain before saying stupid things!!
i don't mind constructive criticism but this is just mean!!

sorry guys i know I'm being super sensitive but its really made me question whether i want to continue doing vids, as i have zilch confidence and this dont make me feel much better..i take things to heart and i care what people think wayyyyyyyy too much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

id never dream of commenting along the lines of woah your too pale or woah your too black...people should remember if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say it at all!!!

Clarins haul xx

Hey guys...

So i think I've mentioned before that i work in a clarins salon??!! Now I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of clarins as i find it more of an older ladies product as it tends to be aimed at that age! Also I'm fickle and like bling packaging...and trust me clarins is far from bling!!! However there are a few products that i do rate, and lucky me...my boss wanted rid of some excess testers...and i was first in line!!! So i picked up the few things i liked and here they are:



*Hydra quench lotion...I've used the cream version and love it so a lotion would be fab for under makeup!
*Hydra quench cooling cream gel...i used this anyways as a night cream so bonus..free!!!
*Sun cream in factor 10 and 6, this and elemis are the only sun creams i use as i get heat rash with others!
*Ultra matte lotion...for oily times :s
*Eyeliner pencils: brown, violet, khaki..these all have a lush shimmer in them..had my eye on these for a while :)
*Liquid eyeliners in plum..this is fab, thin brush and does not budge as you can see in pic..i rubbed and rubbed!
*Instant light eye base...i haven't tried urban decay primer but this looks similar and works well! *Lipgloss in number 6 and summer fever number 2....Cheryl Cole has these two..the rep told me..sold hehe!!
*Lippys..720-melon and lip quench slim lippy in number 17..these shades are lush on top of myth by mac

Stretch mark experiment :(

OK not a nice topic, but then again not a nice thing to have either!!!! So I'm sure most of us have these little monsters...i have them on my hips and boobs :( I've kinda just excepted them but now that I'm losing weight I've started taking more notice of my body all together! so i got this cream from body shop that has had countless reviews and raves in beauty mags! so here's the deal...it is supposed to dramatically reduce the appearance of stretch marks in 4 weeks if used daily...so I'm going to test the theory!! I'm going to take before and after pics :p (sorry to scare you lol) and you can see for yourselves if it works!! also posting this means im going to have to actually use this product as I'm useless with routine lol!!!! OK so here's the product:

*CHEESE!!!!

Yep sad but true i loooove this stuff...id chose it over chocolate..yep you heard right!! fried mozzarella being a particular fave!! hehe also despite being super girly i love mice too...i used to have pets ahhhhh!!

*Shabby chic and boudoir:

i love this style...when i get my own pad it going to be one big boudoir! chaise lounges, chandeliers, wooden hearts, lanterns, white wash furniture, mannequins, gold, black, pastel pinks, egg blues, lemons, satin throws, natural wooden floors, trinkets, perfume bottles...yep that's what I'm talking about!! i love french style, soooo lush and girly...good luck to my future hubby!!!

For me these come hand in hand....i am never happier than when I'm in the states...i go every year and would love to live there, id go in a heart beat if it wasn't sooooo difficult!! id probably work in Disney as its just soooo magical!!! its pure happiness...i challenge anyone to not smile in this place!! Yep i love critters...my fave animals of all time are pigs and chihuahuas...after 5 years I'm still begging for a dog to grace my handbag!! i love piglets...just too cute and pink of course!! But mainly animals make me smile...oh and why do we find ourselves talking to them??? hehe!!

NYX and MAC pigment haul!!

OK so my mini pigments arrived from the US...yay waited soo long for these as i think think some of the colours are limited edition!! so i got copper sparkle,dazzleray and goldmode! i think i have every shade of gold pigment now lol! here are some swatches:

Also i was shopping in Eden Lilly for some scales today and noticed they had a sale basket with NYX products in it..wow! ok so the colours i chose are so not me (not nude lol) but hey they may come in useful for fancy dress or a new look etc..let me know what you think...

Swatches: top of hand: sparkling red, underneath: sparkling rosie, on the sideish lol: sparkling flamingo. And they eyeshadow i love is called rootbeer..lush!


hopefully when you zoom on pic you'll See how sparkly they are...this is why i had to have them..my inner magpie came out!! i like the lippies however they kinda feel thin and sheer on my lips and smell/taste a bit cheap!! xx

Im NC...mac tips....haul!

Remember my NW/NC mac foundation dilemma....well i think a mac consultant named Ben has answered my prayers! I'm posting this one because I'm very excited that i have found my perfect foundation shade and two because this seems a common problem and i wish id had this advice earlier!!!!

So as said before Ive worn NW25 for 4 years, then out of the blue a mac consultant told me i am most definitely a cool tone as i have golden undertones and not red ones!! so on her advice she sent me away with a tester of NC35....eeekk i looked jaundice and washed out...so i just assumed she was wrong and went back to NW25....however now i started looking hard at my foundation and noticing it was too orange/red on me..grrr!

So in Nottingham yesterday i met an angel called Ben hahaha! he was fab...if your ever in notts go see him..he knows his stuff!!! So i tell him my dilemma and straight away he says "are you mixed blood" and i thought yesssss, why that got anything to do with it???? So here's what he told me: basically if you have 2 or more different ethnicity's in you then the yellow and red can conflict making it really hard to match...how did he know this...he was half and half himself...so he really knew his stuff and had gone through the same dilemma as me!! he also gave a tip of looking at your veins on the wrist area! if they are more blue in colour your more likely to be cool toned, and if they're more blue your warm!! Now mine in his words were aqua, haha so right in the middle of green and blue!! basically if your two tones you need to go very high up in the NC range...so he gave me NC43....amazing much darker than the NC35 i was given before and it didn't wash me out...i didn't look yellow fab!! so thank you Ben...age old prob finished with yay!! so girlie's try and find a mixed blood consultant if your having similar probs as me...chances are they will know more as they've experienced the same prob lol!!!

Ok and another insight from my new friend ben....i dont know wether to be happy or annoyed...i mentioned i was a beauty therapist and out he pulls a card...a pro membership card??????

How frickin annoying after 4 years and hundreds of pounds spent i find out that i could of saved 25% on all purchases...and got access to pro colours online!! oh my god I'm super excited but also i could of saved a fortune...so heads up girlie's if your in hair or beauty in any way please ask about this.....don't miss out!!

Sooo just a bit excited...going to see Chris Brown tonight....and also there is a mac and nars in Nottingham yay!! i went to buy new blushes from nars last week in London and waited soooooo long for assistance that i walked away empty handed...but this will not happen again i neeeeeeeedd new blush...so expect a haul (a big one) when i get back from grooving with Chris...oh and Rhianna is singing too. oh .my.god!!!!!!! I'm going to get ready now before i explode with excitement!!! xxx

Quest for curls continues.....

I blogged about curling my hair last night...and as you might discover I'm obsessed with using different methods to curl!! I have very thick, heavy hair that holds a lot of moisture...so it takes forever to dry and it reacts to humidity in a bad way!! so for me curls are hard to achieve and my curl rarely lasts the night in a hot sweaty nightclub...but hey we never like what we have do we lol!! also i would think i was useless at curling hair, but my hairdresser has the same gripes with my hair and can't get a decent look with tongs! Well all the above was when i only tried tongs....tongs for me are no way hot enough to hold curls in my hair...since getting to grips with my ghds the curl even lasts through to the next day! I need serious heat!!!!

So after watching a lot of vids on you tube i noticed a lot of Philippine girls were using the Enzo Millano curler, now as Philippine girls tend to have thick hair too i thought id give it a whirl!! so off to eBay i went and bagged one for £14..bargain!! I wasnt holding out too much hope as curlers dont get hot enough for my iron locks...but wow...these are worth the hype! Love the fact that they come with a heat proof mitt so you can really wrap the ends all in without burnage!! also a prob i had with tongs is the kink at the end as i could never quite get the tips in :(

So anyway i'll stop babbling...here's the look, see what you think compared to the ghd method in my previous blog...if enough people think its ok i will do a vid on it :)

I wont write a massive step by step as i will hopefully do a vid...but all you do is wrap hair round the curler which is just a rod...hold for 10 secs and release...if i wanted this style to last for a night out i would spray each section before i roll but i wanted a real natural wavy look so i didn't!!

here's what i prepped my hair with:

*Elnette hair spray..i backcombed the roots slightly before i curled for vavavoooom!!

oh and really natural make up looked much prettier in person :( stuuupid camera!!

*Mac: nw25 base, nw25 concealer, paint pot bare study, naked lunch e/s, mulch e/s, fluid line nightfish, harmony blush, cream blush lune!

*YSL: touche eclat, faux clis mascara, volupte lippy 2!

Curls rock!!

Ok so we all seem to be at it tonight lol...every ones done curl blogs...lol and here's me thinking i was going to be refreshing lol!! excuse the lack of make up but i did this in a rush before bed last night....cant wait to get a web cam and new camera so i can YouTube this look!!! xx

Next obsession....Body lotions and potions...espesh body butters!! Here's my little treasure chest, as you can see when i like them i normally buy two of the same lol!!!





*Tigi strawberry lemonade: smells as yummy as it smells...a fave!

*Body shop body butters: Coconut always gets compliments, raspberry and peach..i love this oh so much but its limited edition :(

*Palmers cocoa butter: very moisturising and smells v sweet!

*H n M: i buy these every summer usually to take away on hols with me as they're soooo cheap i don't mind having to leave them behind if my suitcase it too heavy due to copious shopping :)

*Bath and body works: wild cherry is the best smell in the world...shame its from USA!

*Derma logics: satsuma and strawberry...got these for Xmas off a friend haven't tried them yet!!

*Elemis: silk nourishing milk bath this can be used as bubble bath or neat on vvvvv dry skin...smells like baby talc ahhhhhh!!

Fashion haul...

Went to do a little shopping in Huntingdon, which the best town for it near me...got a few little goodies...plus 2 big goodies....Jocasi bags..dribble!!!! Couldn't decide so i got both :s

Now i don't normally shop in next but went in with my mum and found some yummy jewellery...plus how much of a copy are the bracelets...link of London i think not!! i like the links bracelets but not enough to warrant the cost so these will do! i particularly love the earrings...go next!!

Perfumes!!

I don't know about you but i feel naked without perfume lol!! So hence i collect quite a few! I lean towards really strong scents...i hate floral smells as they just don't last! So anything oriental, woody and fruity i tend to like!! So here's a pic of my current collection....i adore Dior poisons and Thierry Mugler frangrances...however my fave at the mo is Bvlgari jasmine noir...devine..i actually think i this will be gone in a few weeks lol! Hehe excuse the shrek baby in the perfume basket lol!! One perfume that is usually in my collection but i used it all up is jlo miami glow..i normally hate celeb perfumes but this is pure magic...i always get comments on it!!!

Tan-tastic

As promised for Kerry Marie I'm going to show how i do self tan!! I have been trained and worked with St.Tropez for 4 years now, and i can honestly say that its the best out there! Being Olive skinned I'll admit it is hard for tan to go wrong on me as any mistakes aren't too obvious, however i still know a bad tan on me when i see one! I also trained with Clarins and i do not rate their tans at all, very orange and smelly lol! I also am not a fan on fake bake...very orange and false looking even om my colouring!!! At work we have a st.tropez spray booth which is fab, i have the palest clients, red heads and eczema skins come in for it and they all love it, so if it works for them...!!

So when i do not get time or cannot be bothered to stay after work and be sprayed i do it all at home, it takes practice to get to know the product but now i think i have created a fool proof method that id like to share...its dead easy as long as you take your time!!! here goes:

*Shower and exfoliate body and face...obvious i know but you will not believe the difference it makes (Ive often been to lazy to do this and regretted it) do not moisturise before a tan as most act as a barrier or have ingredients which turn tan green eeeewww!! Tip: a big no no is leaving underarm deo on....this goes green almost instantly!!

*I use simple moisturizer as its low oil content and thin consistency is fab for tan! i moisturise feel, heels, knees, elbows, hands as these areas can be dry!

*Ok now all prep is done....now i use 2 methods....i use cream formula for a deeper tan that i want to last for a while and the spray for a quicker light application that will be fab for a night out only.

i will go through the cream application first as its the most difficult of the two and least self explanatory lol!

*Ok so i start with my face and i put a pump of tan and the same amount of cream and rub my gloved hands together to mix...then i literally put a hand on each cheek and rub all over face and neck! as it is mixed with cream you have plenty of time to work the tan in so do not panic or rush. make sure little areas like tip of the nose and ears arent forgotten i usually flick whatevers left on my hands after face over my ears as they don't need a lot! do not apply tan under the eye leave a circle around the socket and get some cream and blend outer tan in slightly!!

*After face and neck i move onto chest...very simple, just mix 3 pumps tan with equal cream and rub onto chest boobs and tummy, try and work the tan out to your arm pits as this will be one less thing to think about when doing arms! You may need more or less tan depending on your size and how much you want to tan...e.g i mainly just do areas that will be seen such as arms chest and legs and leave tummy and back!

*Next i do legs...lots of tan needed normally i start on the calf's and use 3 pumps and equal cream. i place each hand on sides of calf so it looks like I'm holding my leg and then used circular motions to work in...do not tan knee yet!!! work down to ankle, by this time you should have very little tan left on hands, i then swoop down with a fanned hand and rub remaining tan into feet. Now for the knee get half a pump of tan and double the cream and just swoop over the knee and behind work upwards to the thigh. Repeat thigh as you did the calf, thighs are easy!!

*I do arms last as if done first creases in the arms can rub tan off! I get 2 pumps tan and equal cream and rub into top of arms avoiding elbow, blend right underneath to join with armpit. One pump tan and cream for lover arm...work this down to the gloves to leave a line. Bend elbow so arm is facing up to ensure you tan underside of arm!! get some cream and rub into elbow using the surrounding tan to work into the area! Now your all done apart from hands which we all know are a tell tale of a bad tan!!

*take gloves off and use not even half a pump of tan and lots of cream, rub palms together and then flick tan over one hand and the other half over the other. fan hands and rub over each other to make sure finger gaps are tanned. rub wrists together to blend harsh line from arms to hands. when done grab a baby wipe and rub palms onto it this should be enough to rid of tan and to not stain!!!

Phew done!! hope its helpful its soooo difficult to explain so if you need any more pics of steps let me know and ill do some!! when i get vids up and running ill deff do a vid on it!!

Now a quick word on the spray method...get the mitt from Marks and Spencer...its very hard to find in the winter as the mitt is amongst the tan products in the summer!! You do not need to moisturise with the spray method. Spray onto mitt and rub in....simple. however you do not get very long to work with the tan before it dries into the skin!! good luck, and let me know how you guys get on and also if you've tried st.tropez b4!!! xxxxx

CHI review!

Happy new year!!!!

Ok so i have worked my way through my new CHI products and here's what i think:

Infra texture: I have sprayed this into both wet and dry hair and yep its ok!! mainly makes the hair smell good, does and texture and movement to your style without being sticky or heavy! Also the can is super glittery...bonus!

Silk infusion: Wish id found this product sooner...their reviews were spot on! I applied it after straightening my hair and it really feels as smooth as silk!!!

Flex and hold hairspray: Now this i am not a fan of, very crispy and sticky feel not nice...i can just about bear to use it for backcombing just to use it up.

Nourish intense mask: Love this, i applied this to washed hair that i towel dried to get most of the water off my hair. i worked in a salon when i was younger and found that conditioner was ten times more effective when hair was dried off a bit, this is due to the water diluting the mask or conditioner. so on damp hair i worked a walnut sized blob into the ends and waited 5 mins....again hair was like silk fab!

Silk bath/shampoo: Loved this too, although it is definitely more of a "treatment" than a shampoo as it tends to leave hair a little flat due to how nourishing it is. I stupidly washed my hair and used the CHI mask and then curled my hair...great until it dropped out an hour later. so beware do not use this before curling it makes the hair hard to work with!

All in all i am very impressed with CHI as a range, its fab to use now and again as a hair treat! xx
